40, 000 Healthy Greyhounds die
in UK and Ireland annually at the hands of the Greyhound
Industry.
Many being killed at the side of racetracks when
they break a back or a leg during a race fall or collision.
Hundreds die in dog pounds , many are found in rivers and
others are used for vivisection (USA), as blood donors or
for dissection. The Skins of Greyhounds are used in the
production of Bodhrans here in Ireland. Many dogs sold
cheaply at Irish Track Auctions travel to BARCELONA track in
Spain where they are raced for many more years and kept in
horrific conditions both at the track and after in so-
called rescues.
THIS IS ALL BECAUSE THE GREYHOUND INDUSTRY BREEDS THESE
UNFORTUNATE DOGS TO DIE NO AMOUNT OF REHOMING WILL ALLEVIATE
THIS PROBLEM EVEN IF ALL THE RESCUES TRIED TO CLEAN UP AFTER
THE INDUSTRY
To ALL of you in welfare and rights groups. PLEASE SUPPORT
US at this DEMONSTRATION IN GALWAY.
IF YOU CARE AT ALL
Please support our demonstration at the National Greyhound
Awards in Galway Raddisson Hotel next Sunday 18th April at
7.15 pm. This is your chance to show the Greyhound Industry
that what they are doing is unacceptable and morally wrong.
No dog should die because he is too slow.
THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THE SUFFERING IS TO STOP THE RACING,
